West Ham could look to sell Pablo Fornals and bring in three signings within the January transfer window, according to reports.

Despite spending big in the Summer, it’s clear to see that West Ham need to improve their squad in January if they are to secure another season of European football.

However, their limited budget heading into the Winter window means that the Hammers will have to offload some fringe players to bring in the new faces. Unfortunately, this could mean some fan favourites depart very soon.

Pablo Fornals instantly understood what it meant to play for West Ham, and fans love him for that. He may not be the best player on the pitch, but he will be the hardest working. Given the level the East London side are aiming to be at though, hard work will only get you so far and 90min have reported he may be the one to leave in order to raise funds.

Interestingly, as revealed exclusively by our own ExWHUEmployee, the club recently activated a one year extension clause in his contract. It would seem like this was purely a tactic to get more money for the Spaniard rather than to keep him in the East End longer.

The reports state that there are clubs from Saudi Arabia who could make an offer for the player, but what’s more likely is that he will return to his home country. If he is to leave, he will stay in the hearts of West Ham fans for years to come, especially for that goal in the Conference League semi final.

Our Irons plan on using the money on a striker and up to two fullbacks. The priority has to be a man up top as well as making sure we’re signing someone with the right profile for our system, while fullbacks need to be strong enough to provide competition but potentially offering something slightly different to Emerson and Coufal.

Essentially, Moyes needs to be careful with who he chooses to sign. Steidten will no doubt be offering his advice and giving suggestions but, ultimately, it’s down to the manager who he thinks will be the perfect fit to this side.
