West Ham drew a firm line under the heavy defeat to Fulham last weekend by capping off an excellent week with a fully deserved win over Wolves.

David Moyes’ side were deserved winners as our Hammers dominated much of the proceedings with some stunning attacking flair and dominance that many have been craving to watch much of this season.

Mohammed Kudus was the star of the first half, by bagging 2 excellently taken chances to send West Ham into a 2-0 lead at the break – although it must be said Wolves responded in the 2nd half.

Despite a 20 minute spell for the visitors, which was a goal ruled out for offside, Moyes’ side took advantage of the high-line played by Gary O’Neils team, and Paqueta fed in Bowen who scored his 10th goal of the season – with Paqueta nabbing his 3rd and all 3 of the assists on an brilliant afternoon in east London.

The West Ham Way Podcast hosts Dave Walker and ExWHUEmployee were both thrilled with the display by Moyes’ side and were just as pleased to see another clean sheet – something that has been a concern this season for some time.

“What a way to end a really good week for West Ham,” said Walker. “We needed a reaction after the Fulham game and that’s exactly what we got.

There is so much quality in that midfield and we were also clinical in front of goal – which is so important at this level. Really good performance from the boys”

Ex agreed and feels there is a really exciting bond now happening between the front 3 of Kudus, Bowen & Paqueta.

“Today was a really good result and performance following on from the same on Thursday,” said our club insider.

“The two clean sheets can not be underestimated too because prior to that we had been shipping too many poor goals!

“I thought the interchange between Paqueta with Bowen and Kudus was great and hopefully there is more and more to come!”
