West Ham are seeking to offload a number of players this January in a bid to strengthen the squad in the upcoming transfer window.

It is understood that the club have identified players that they are open to listening to offers for, including Danny Ings, Pablo Fornals and Said Benrahma.

Another player who has struggled for first team opportunities this season so far is German international defender Thilo Kehrer, with talks already understood to be underway for a potential departure.

Reporting on The West Ham Way Patreon, our Podcast co-host and club insider ExWHUEmployee has stated that our Technical Director Tim Steidten is currently in France aiming to conclude the sale for the player who only arrived in east London last year.

“A number of French teams including Rennes, Monaco and Nice are interested,” stated Ex. “As well as attracting attention from some German teams too including Bayern Munich.

“Kehrer has made it clear he is unhappy at his lack of first team action, and is said to be pushing for a move. It is hoped that the club may be able to generate close to what they paid for the German international.

“Tim Steidten is said to be in Monaco as we speak looking to conclude this deal, but potentially seeing what the availability of their players is.

“We have been linked with the following in the past: Embolo, Balogun (who is home grown), Forfana and Mohamed Camara – although none of these have been confirmed as targets in this window yet.”
