West Ham are expected to nab all 3 points when we host Brighton at the London Stadium later tonight.

That is the thoughts of BBC Pundit Chris Sutton and our very own Dave Walker, who hosts our flagship The West Ham Way Podcast with ExWHUEmployee.

It’s seen as a crucial game in the race for European football next season, with Daavid Moyes hoping his side can create a 6-point lead over the visitors, although a win for Brighton will see them go above West Ham.

Speaking ahead of the game in east London later, Walker is confident and feels that the team can kick on after an excellent end to 2023.

“The boys should be full of confidence going into this game at home,” said Walker. “We ended the year so we’ll, let’s hope we start it well too.”

“Not an easy game and one that we always seem to struggle with but I can’t see anything but a West Ham win today.”

Former England striker Sutton, who was speaking on BBC Sport, feels West Ham have the edge and can punish Brighton again this season.

“West Ham sucker-punched Arsenal on Thursday, as they so often do against teams who really come on to them – they did it against Tottenham at the start of December, and it was the same story when they beat Brighton at the beginning of the season,” said the former Blackburn Rovers forward.

“The Seagulls will fancy themselves to put that right on the back of their win over Spurs, but you just know that the Hammers will be happy to sit in and frustrate them.

“Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen are so important to West Ham and the way that they hit teams on the break, and I can see them playing a key role here too.”

Sutton predicted a 2-1 win for our Hammers tonight.
