West Ham’s draw with Brighton last night has been described as painfully boring, however our side are in a very good position for the 2nd half of the season.
That is the view of The West Ham Way Podcast host Dave Walker, who although felt frustrated with the match overall, has stood back and taken a perspective view on things.
The goalless encounter with the Seagulls saw West Ham record our 4th Premier League clean sheet on the bounce last night, whilst also making it 10 points from a possible 12 – in fact, our Hammers sit top of the table in the Premier League form league.
“A painfully boring game to watch but for me we have to put it into perspective,” stated Walker after the game. “10 points from 4 games, leaving us 6th going into the new year means we’re in a good place.”
His co-host and our club insider ExWHUEmployee agreed it wasn’t the best of displays in terms of entertainment, but like Walker was very much focused on the positives.
“The game wasn’t very inspiring and sadly that was the first one I decided to take two of my children too,” said Ex.
“At the end of the day 4 points from bogey side Brighton this year is a big improvement and also 10 points over Wolves, Man United, Arsenal and Brighton in the league with 4 clean sheet is good especially with the amount of players missing yesterday.
“It’s just a shame we see such a decline in ability when our fringe players come in and had we got the 3 points the league table would have been very interesting!”
