West Ham women’s team have signed Shelina Zadorsky on loan for the remainder of the season, as she reunites with her former boss.
The Spurs defender heads to the east end of the capital to link up with Rehanne Skinner, whom she worked with as captain at our London rivals, whilst finishing 5th one season.
Despite a difficult opening half of the season, the Canadian international believes there is a lot of potential and the club should start to see results and league position improve.
“I think the Club has so much potential, and just being a defender and hopefully being able to come in and help and bring a bit of presence to keep more clean sheets,” the defender told the club’s Official Website.
“I’ve worked with Rehanne before and we have a great relationship, she’s a coach who knows how to get the best out of me.
“This is an exciting group and there’s a lot of talented players and I see a lot of potential.
“I’m really looking forward to working with her again, and I think we’ve had time to develop a good relationship over the years. She knows how to push me and challenge me in ways that gets me to my best form and be the defender I know I can be for the team.”
Zadorsky admits there is a lot of work to be done, and hopes her presence can see results improve in the 2nd half of the season.
“Results can easily sway either way and I think that’s what the club wants to do and I want to be a part of that in the second half of the season,” added the new signing.
