West Ham tonight head to a cold Ashton Gate to take on Bristol City in the FA Cup 3rd round replay.
Our Hammers were unable to get the job done in the reverse fixture at the London Stadium against the Championship side, with Liam Mannings side deservedly battling their way to a replay on their home turf.
David Moyes will have to juggle a slight injury crisis at present, with Michail Antonio, Lucas Paqueta and Jarrod Bowen all missing through injury, whilst Mohammed Kudus competes at the AFCON.
Speaking ahead of the game later, our Podcast co-hosts Dave Walker and ExWHUEmployee have provided their thoughts, with both expecting a rough ride in the south west of the country tonight.
“I think we’re in for a very tough night at Ashton Gate,” stated Walker. “The atmosphere will be strong, it’s televised, we’re away from home with our best players missing.
“It could take a good old fashioned dog fight to see us through on this one.”
Ex is in complete agreement, saying that this is the time for certain players to rise to the occasion to help the club advance to the 4th round.
“This is going to be a very tough game for us tonight, as Bristol City will be more than up for this as we saw in the first game,” said out club insider.
“We are also missing all our key attacking players so it is time for some of our fringe players to really step up and show their worth to the team. It is important for us to not concede early and I think this will be in Moyes’ plan.”
