West Ham have secured the long term future of Callum Marshall, with the player signing a new deal with the club.

The news of the new contract has been reported by ExWHUEmployee, with the player now also set to depart for the rest of the season at West Bromwich Albion in the Championship.

Ex has reported that the new contract is 2.5 years, which was paramount in enabling the player to now go on loan and continue his development.

Our Podcast co-host and club insider is understandably delighted with the news, and feels the loan move is a perfect move, as we look forward to having him back in east London in the summer.

“Callum is a very exciting young player who has a great future ahead of him,” stated Ex. “He could have taken lower league options on loan, but the standard of football at WBA gives him the perfect place to showcase his ability.

“Callum is a top lad who comes from a lovely family and I am sure he will be a huge success with the passionate fanbase that West Brom have.”
