West Ham apparently have their ideal Moyes replacement lined up.

While David Moyes is still likely to be offered a new contract, if this recent run of poor form continues the board may have to reconsider. If it does come to that, they will have to be incredibly careful with who they decide to replace him with – after all he has coached West Ham to one of the most successful periods in the club’s history.

Not many managers are without a club at the moment, but SportLens believe that they could go for one of the up and coming managers.

Michael Carrick has done wonders for Middlesbrough since joining the club, and the former Hammer could be the man to take over from Moyes. His side narrowly missed out on promotion last season and managed to reach the League Cup semi-finals this term.

Alongside him, the news outlet named Lille’s Pauli Fonseca as another option. The French team are currently fourth in Ligue 1 and sit just 1 point behind third placed Brest.

Both options are a vast change to the counter-attacking football that some fans have come to despise. Whether it happens and, more importantly, whether it works out remains to be seen. Either way, one side of the Moyes debate will be sure to float to the other.
