A recent report suggests West Ham could have a player in their academy who will be just as good as Declan Rice.

West Ham have always prided themselves on producing some of Europe’s most exciting young players. The world of football can thank the Academy of Football for the likes of Rio Ferdinand, Bobby Moore and, more recently, Declan Rice.

With the way 2024 is going, the Hammers could really do with another top quality player breaking through. There are plenty of potential candidates for this but Football Fancast believe that George Earthy is the man for the job.

At the start of the season, Earthy signed a new three year contract as reward for his continued development and the role he played in the U18s winning the both the FA Youth Cup and their league.

The midfielder has scored 37 goals and assisted a further 25 in 102 games. He possesses a brilliant passing range and has an eye for goal and really could be one of multiple players in the academy who go on to play at the very top.

As a youngster it is always hard to break into the starting XI, but after the massacre that happened against Arsenal there would be no better time for David Moyes to give some of the youth a chance to prove themselves.
