West Ham may try to snatch Moyes replacement from London rivals, according to reports.
It is no secret that David Moyes is under serious pressure at West Ham. While their two consecutive wins may have done some work to alleviate this, there is no denying that the Hammers failed to capitalise on the brilliant position they were in ahead of the new year. Thankfully, they have just done enough to keep themselves in the European places but there is still a real possibility that Moyes is not at the helm next season.
Understandably, the club have been looking at a number of potential replacements if he does leave, with the likes of Thomas Tuchel, Gary O’Neil and Paulo Fonseca all being linked with a move to East London. However, GIVEMESPORT believes that it could be someone else entirely that they approach.
The news outlet reports that Fulham’s Marco Silva is someone that the Irons are looking at. Since joining the Cottagers, he has managed to transform them from a ‘yo-yo club’ into a side who are comfortably sat in mid-table, just 7 points off a European place.
It is worth noting that they have said that “the Hammers appear to be casting their net wide in search of a potential replacement for Moyes,” but the fact they are being linked with a lot of managers who are already employed clearly shows that they do not plan on cheaping out when it comes to finding a successor.
If he does leave, let’s just hope they can get the appointment spot on – it will not be easy following on from one of the club’s most successful managers.
