West Ham say key player is not for sale after interest from Italy has arisen.
By far the weakest area of West Ham’s squad is the defence. Throughout the whole season it has constantly leaked goals and is arguably the main reason that the club aren’t in an even better position.
However, despite a rough start to life in claret and blue, Konstantinos Mavropanos has established himself as not only a reliable option, but an absolutely brilliant player. In fairness, you could see the quality he possesses right from the start, it just took him a while to cut out the mistakes.
Unfortunately, his impressive performances have not gone unnoticed with two Italian giants in Inter Milan and Napoli supposedly interested in acquiring his services.
Thankfully, according to Hammers News, the Greek protector is not for sale and it would take a massive fee for the club to even consider letting him go.
“Mavropanos is not for sale unless an absolutely extraordinary offer comes in which Italian clubs can’t afford,” their source stated.
Given how many players our Irons are already likely to lose in the Summer, they simply couldn’t afford to let go off another – especially not their best defender.
