Under no circumstances will West Ham sell a star player who’s been linked with a move away.

Almost every club has a player who is the face of their side. For Liverpool, it’s Mo Salah, for Chelsea it’s Cole Palmer and for West Ham it’s Jarrod Bowen.

Since signing from Hull back in 2020, Bowen has gone on to establish himself as not only a fan favourite, but a potential club legend. The way he has conducted himself, the relationship he has with the fans, the brilliance he’s shown on the pitch and, above all else, that last minute winner in Prague have earned him a 7 year contract, tying him down until essentially the end of his career.

However, the winger has understandably attracted his fair share of admirers, including Jurgen Klopp, but with the former Liverpool boss’ departure being announced concerns had eased about the Englishman leaving. However, recent reports have claimed that Newcastle will make a move.

Obviously, the richest club in the world being interested in such a key player on the pitch and off it would cause panic but, according to Caught Offside, the East London faithful have no reason to fear.

Firstly, despite their owners being so rich, they’re flirting with a breach of FFP as it is and will not have the facilities to spend £100 million or more on one player. Secondly, under no circumstances are West Ham going to sell Bowen – it just wouldn’t make sense.

Despite their grand wealth, moving to the Magpies would be a bit of a side step for Bowen. On top of this the mother of his children is from a family of massive West Ham fans, and his love for the club is obvious – him leaving just doesn’t seem plausible.
