West Ham are closing in on our first signing of the summer transfer window, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.
As was reported on The West Ham Way Patreon last month, the club have been in talks with a number of potential players – particularly from Brazil, where our Technical Director Tim Steidten has spent time over the last few months to look at and progress talks with targets.
Our Podcast co-host and club insider Ex advised that talks had been progressing well, and has now confirmed that moves are advancing, particularly with Brazilian international defender Fabrício Bruno.
The Flamengo centre-back is understood to have already agreed and accepted the move to east London, and will complete the following their fixture tonight against Millionarios, which is reported by Ex to be his ‘farewell match’. West Ham of course will be hoping he comes though the match without picking up any injury.
“The player is very keen on the move and it seems that the club are getting close to the deal being completely finalised,” stated Ex. “Our interest was first reported on Patreon on the 24th April, following a trip from Tim Steidten to Brazil.
“It now appears the deal is close to being concluded, as the club also work on other deals. We understand that the club are hoping to secure a few deals prior to 1st July – when the players return for pre-season.”
Ex also advised that talks are progressing with Wesley Gassova, however we have also identified Portugal international Jota Silva as another player we are interested in.
“It is also felt that the club are very keen to bring in Brazilian Corinthians winger Wesley Gassova. The club hope they will see off competition for the player, although another winger we admire is Jota Silva of Vitória de Guimarães.”
Ex will keep fans fully up to date on the progress of all transfer dealing as they develop, on The West Ham Way Patreon.
