West Ham are currently looking to bolster the squad including the Academy with certain players set to depart east London this summer.

As has been reported by our Podcast co-host and club insider ExWHUEmployee, the club appear resigned to the fact that Ben Johnson will exit, having failed to agree a new deal, with a host of clubs including Crystal Palace in the frame for his signature.

Another player is Divin Mubuma, who himself has various Championship clubs keen on the Academy gradutate, and is therefore like Johnson looking set for a move away from the club.

“The club have accepted that both Ben Johnson and Divin Mubama could leave,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon. “It now looks like Mubama will move down to the Championship with a number of clubs including Sunderland and Derby County offering him a route into their first team. The club would be due compensation for this because of his age.

“West Ham are aware that with Divin’s likely departure and with Callum Marshall expected to go on loan again next season, they will need some new forward players that are legible for West Ham’s Academy side.”

Our club insider has also revealed that the club are hoping to offload former Liverpool and Aston Villa forward Danny Ings this summer.

Ings’ exit will be seen as a huge boost in terms of freeing up wages, allowing the club further scope to operate in the transfer window.

It’s also understood that Head Coach Julen Lopetegui is to look at Flynn Downes prior to making any call on his future, with Southampton keen on signing him on a permanent deal – although there is no option or obligation to buy in the loan agreement from last season.

Furthermore, the club are interested in Sheffield United goalkeeper Wes Foderingham, which has now been reported in the press, having been reported on The West Ham Way Patreon earlier this month.

It’s also in the press that Joseph Anang is set to depart the club, with Jacob Knightsbridge also possibly on his way out of east London we understand.
