West Ham could sign a struggling star with world-class potential this Summer in order to bolster their attack.
While the majority of West Ham fans are excited about the bold new transfer strategy that Tim Steidten is leading, they’d be lying if they said it wasn’t slightly frustrating not even having heard of most of the players they’re linked with.
Occasionally though, they not only are linked with someone they know, but someone that is extremely exciting – such is the case with Karim Adeyemi.
At one point, Adeyemi was one of the highest rated talents in the world. The versatile forward possesses blistering pace, great dribbling and a real eye for goal. Unfortunately, following his move to Borussia Dortmund two years ago, he has failed to live up to the hype.
Across 33 games this season, he’s only managed a measly 7 goal involvements – an abysmal return for someone who cost £30 million.
However, an unnamed Premier League club are apparently eyeing him up as the German side are willing to listen to offers for the 22-year-old and, according to Claret and Hugh, there’s a good chance that club is West Ham.
While his form in Germany has been uninspiring, he is still extremely young and therefore has plenty of time to get back on track. He has all the makings of a world-class player, if he can bring it all together then it could be an unbelievable bit of business.
