West Ham are progressing in the pursuit for Luis Guilherme, with ExWHUEmployee providing an update.

As had been reported by our Podcast co-host and club insider on The West Ham Way Patreon previously, Technical Director Tim Stediten is in Brazil hoping to conclude the deal, although reports in the press talks had collapsed.

Ex has since advised that this was not the case, and the club are at this stage hopeful of a successful conclusion to the potential deal, but warned that things can change quickly too.

“Talks have gone well for the player Luis Guilherme,” stated Ex on Patreon. “The club believe that they are very close to getting a deal set up for the player however they are still fearful of another club coming into the picture.

“That club was thought to be Liverpool however it has been said to me that it isn’t them. It is also thought that the player would not be tempted by a Saudi club at this stage of his career too.

“Whether a club will make a move remains to be seen and whether this is just an excuse if the deal falls is also hard to predict but the next coming days will tell.

“The club appear confident that a deal can be concluded. As of now it appears we have the terms all but done with the club and the player seems keen to join too.

“We know too though that this negotiation can flip quickly due to the interest from the player elsewhere with a number of agents involved. Club will work to get it over the line, but no guarantees are there at this stage.”

Ex will be keeping fans up to date on the situation as it develops.
