West Ham have learnt the price of a long-term transfer target and it could make signing him impossible to resist.

For a number of years now, West Ham have been repeatedly linked with a move for Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri. The forward has always been seen as one of the best replacements for Michail Antonio but the club have repeatedly failed to sign him.

However, with the arrival of Julen Lopetegui, has made a deal more likely than ever as he is said to be keen on reuniting with the Moroccan.

With West Ham needing such a big rebuild though, the price point was always going to make or break any potential deal. Thankfully, according to Caught Offside, Sevilla have set an extremely fair £25 million price tag on the 27-year-old.

For that amount of money, it would not be a surprise at all to see the Hammers attempt to sign him. Previously, the player hasn’t been too keen on a move to East London but with their new head coach in charge that would likely be less of an issue. In fact, his best ever season came under Lopetegui in the 2020/21 season where he scored 18 goals in La Liga alone.

Unfortunately, they will face stiff competition for his signature from both Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur. Both sides have European football next season which could be a real sticking point for the forward. Whether our Irons sign him really depends on whether he values working with his former boss or playing in Europe more.
