Sources have told football news site Football Insider that West Ham currently have two agreements and two medicals booked for incoming transfers, these are said to be 18 year old Brazillian Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras and experienced goalkeeper Wes Foderingham.

18 year old Brazillian midfielder Luis Guilherme is said to be flying to London in the coming days to undergo his West Ham medical so that the club can get the deal over the line.

If the club can get a deal for Guilherme finalised, he will become West Ham’s second signing of the summer having also reportedly agreed a deal to bring keeper Wes Foderingham in on a free transfer at the start of July.

Guilherme is regarded as a very exciting young talent at his current club Palmeiras and it appears as though the Hammers have moved fast in order to agree a deal before the summer transfer window officially opens on June the 14th. So far in the Brazillian league, Guilherme has appeared in five of Palmeiras’ seven league games registering a goal and an assist.

The young Brazillian has previously been labelled the “next Mbappe” having registered a lightning quick top speed of 36.4km/h in 2022. As also reported by Football Insider, Liverpool are said to have declined the opportunity to sign Guilherme this summer.

Regarding Foderingham, new manager Julen Lopetegui’s current options in the goalkeeping department are Alphonse Areola and Lukasz Fabianski, with Areola being David Moyes’ number one in the 23/24 season. The arrival of the 33 year old on a free transfer will certainly help strengthen the Hammers goalkeeping options following the release of Joseph Anang, and with Nathan Trott, who is said to have recently signed a new deal, likely to go back out on loan next season.

Foderingham’s Sheffield United contract expires at the end of the month. The 33 year old made 30 appearances for Sheffield United in the Premier League last season. Since joining The Blades in 2020, Foderingham has gone on to make over 100 appearances for the club. In a career which began in the National League in the 2010/11 season, Foderingham has built a wealth of experience amassing close to 400 professional appearances.
