A Premier League club could replace their best player with one of West Ham’s worst ever signings.

As a football fan, one of the worst feelings you can experience is one of your club’s most beloved and most talented players getting their inevitable move away. West Ham had the displeasure of going through it with Declan Rice, and now it looks like Fulham could be about to go through it with Joao Palhinha.

The Portuguese midfielder was on the verge of a move to Bayern Munich last Summer, but the deal never ended up going through. Unfortunately for the Cottagers, it seems like it could finally happen this time around.

So what could possibly make this situation worse? Being linked (by GIVEMESPORT) with one of the most criticised players in the Premier League to replace him – Kalvin Phillips

Everyone knows about Phillips’ fall from being England’s player of the year to being one of West Ham’s worst ever signings, arguably costing David Moyes his job. While there is no need to add on to the hate he already receives, there’s no beating around the bush when it comes to just how bad he was in claret and blue.

In all honesty, it’s absolutely baffling why any club would want to sign Phillips after his loan spell in East London. As sad as it is, he clearly isn’t up to the task physically or mentally. While almost everyone at West Ham hopes that this won’t always be the case, it’s hard to imagine him ever getting back to his best.
