West Ham forward Mohammed Kudus has been the subject of speculation surrounding a release clause, with ExWHUEmployee providing a huge update.

The Hammers & Ghana star has made a significant impact since his arrival in east London last summer from Ajax, which has promoted much interest from a host the world top clubs.

Our Podcast co-host and club insider ExWHUEmployee has now clarified the situation with a huge update on the player and his release clause, with Ex now explaining the position of The West Ham Way throughout the speculation in recent weeks.

“We can confirm that Muhammad Kudus did have an active release clause this summer for £85m,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon. “However, the club have confirmed that this expired last night so the club do not intend to sell the player this summer unless there is a ridiculous offer. As it stands no club have made an enquiry anyway.

“The only downside to this is that the clause does then become active next summer.

“Now we have reached this deadline you can understand why we were deliberately vague with the clause in order not to alert clubs as we do always try to protect the best interests of West Ham with our news with what we do and don’t release at times.

“This has been confirmed by two top sources at the club. We will also bring you an exclusive transfer update later having exclusively showed you the home kits yesterday. There is a lot more to come this summer on Patreon.”
