Ipswich Town are planning a double swoop for two of West Ham’s top targets.

Although Ipswich Town’s rise to the Premier League is a sensational story, many had already written them off before they’d even been promoted. Many believe that they’re destined to get relegated straight back to the Championship but the Tractor Boys have other plans.

Kieran McKenna’s side have already got off to a brilliant start in the Summer transfer window by signing Omari Hutchinson for around £20 million from Chelsea as well as Ben Johnson on a free transfer. However, this is only the beginning as they plan on signing two of the Championships biggest talents, according to Football Insider.

The report claims that they’ve submitted a £30 million joint bid to sign Hull City’s Jacob Greaves and Jaden Philogene. Greaves has been a sensational centre-back for the Tigers for multiple seasons and is clearly ready to take the next step in his career, while Philogene is one of the biggest prospects to emerge in England this past campaign.

Both players are ones that the Hammers have shown keen interest in and this could majorly disrupt their plans.

Ipswich have clearly got a plan to stay in the Premier League and it’s great to see but, with all due respect, West Ham should have much more pulling power, not to mention money, than a club that was in League 1 just two seasons ago. If our Irons do lose out on two brilliant players to them it would be disappointing to say the least.
