West Ham are now stepping up the striker recruitment this summer with a key target identified, its been reported by ExWHUEmployee.
As previously advised by our club insider, the club are now shifting the focus onto a new front man to bring in, with the pressure on to get this appointment correct following the lack of success in this department over the years.
Ex has now reported that the club are very keen on Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran, with negotiations set to take place.
“As we exclusively reported a week or so ago, Duran is a top target and followed up with this on the podcast yesterday,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon. “We now believe he is emerging as the key target for the club.
“He ticks all the boxes of being young (20 years of age), a lot of potential, pacy and wanting a move from a rival of ours. Whilst his scoring record for Villa isn’t that great he doesn’t often start for them (because of Watkins) and will get more game time with us.
“Chelsea were said to be keen but he would probably find himself in a similar situation to what he is in at Villa so a move to West Ham should appeal more.
“Duran is a Colombian international which is obviously a Spanish speaking country and the new management team believe they can help develop the player.
“West Ham hope that the figure should be within our price range and are set to start negotiations.”
Ex will be keeping fans up to date on the situation as it develops further, on Patreon.
