West Ham are set to open talks with a complete striker who has an impressive goal scoring record.
With the list of strikers West Ham are starting to pursue being narrowed down, we’re seeing more and more leaks about who the club have decided to pursue.
Our own ExWHUEmployee exclusively revealed that the Hammers are actively pursuing a deal for Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran who is seen as the best value for money option. However, it would be foolish of them to not have other avenues open.
Thankfully, according to GIVEMESPORT, the club have in fact began talks with another brilliant striker: Jonathan David.
The Canadian has been immense since signing for Lille back in 2020. In each of his 4 seasons in France he has reached double digits, scoring 19 in Ligue 1 alone during the last campaign.
Now that Canada are out of the Copa America, it will make talks easier and it’s believed a deal would cost just £30 million. When you consider his goal scoring record at just 24-years-old, that’s an incredible price especially when Duran, who is fairly unproven, will set the Hammers back £35-40 million with a sell-on clause.
David offers lightning pace, an excellent strike, hard work and brilliance in the build up. For that price, he should be a must buy in a lot of fans’ opinions and it’s extremely hard to disagree with them.
