West Ham target Jhon Duran is staying focused on the Copa America with Columbia, as a move to east London continues to gather pace.

As has been reported previously, West Ham are in negotiations with Aston Villa over the possible transfer of Duran – with personal terms not expected to be an issue should the clubs come to an agreement on the fee.

Duran himself is currently away with his national side Columbia, who last night reached the final of the tournament, where they will face Argentina.

Duran, who was speaking to the press ahead of the tournament, amid links to a move to Chelsea at the time, has understandably stated that his focus at present is with his duty to Columbia – with the hope being things moving forward to conclude a move once the tournament is over, with the final this Sunday.

‘I’m focused on the national team, at the Copa America, wanting to add minutes, supporting the team a lot,” Duran is reported to have stated, as per the Metro.

“For those topics of a possible move, I already have other people who take care of that.”
