A West Ham insider has revealed that the club expects “some movement” in the market extremely soon.

All seems to have gone relatively quiet in the transfer window from a West Ham perspective. A lot of the stories that are being reported are rehashed from previous weeks and there seems to have been little to no progress made with any of their targets.

Thankfully, according to Claret and Hugh, the club hopes to get some deals moving as soon as possible, with there being the potential for something to happen “as early as this week”.

With so many reports linking the Hammers with so many different players in completely different positions, it can be hard to know where the priority is. Although they desperately need a right-back to replace Ben Johnson and, in an ideal world, another centre-back to pair with Max Kilman, it’s a forward that remains the focus.

“We’re looking everywhere, but CF is THE priority,” their inside source stated.

Some of the strikers they’ve been linked with  are top quality players who walk into the starting XI and instantly improve it, while others aren’t so impressive and resemble the type of player that fans will be frustrated at signing. Hopefully, Tim Steidten is able to pull through and avoid the latter players as there can be no understanding just how important it is that the recruitment is spot on this Summer.
