Juventus are unhappy with West Ham after the Hammers submitted a £25 million bid for Nice centre back Jean Clair Todibo, according to reports.

New head coach Julen Lopetegui is on the hunt for players this summer as he looks to strengthen his Hammers squad ready for the new season with the hopes of getting the club back into Europe.

So far this summer, West Ham have secured the signings of young Brazilian midfielder Luis Guilherme, experienced goalkeeper Wes Foderingham as well as Max Kilman from Wolves. Even though the club parted with a reported £40 million to sign Kilman on a long term deal, they are said to still be looking for another centre back.

Veteran defender Angelo Ogbonna left the club at the end of June after nine years in East London and there is plenty of speculation around the future of both Kurt Zouma and Nayef Aguerd. Todibo is one of the Hammers centre back targets, the club had an offer said to be around £25 million rejected by his current employers Nice.

Juventus are also believed to be keen on signing the 24 year old defender. The Italian giants had an offer of around £17 million for Todibo rejected by Nice who are said to value the defender at around £34 million.

As reported by Italian media outlet Corriere dello Sport, the reason Juventus are unhappy with West Ham is as they feel West Ham’s initial offer of around £25 million may have caused Nice to increase their demands for Todibo.

The Hammers are also on the lookout for attacking reinforcements this summer as they look to add more firepower to their forward line. So far this transfer window, the club has been linked with Alexander Sorloth and Youssef En – Nesyri. The Hammers have also been heavily linked with a move for 20 year old Aston Villa forward Jhon Duran with talks set to resume after the Copa America.
