West Ham United is leading the chase to sign Manchester United outcast Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Old Trafford this summer, according to a report from teamTALK.

The Hammers are keen to sign a right-back this summer after Ben Johnson departed for Ipswich Town earlier this month. Aaron Wan-Bissaka, alongside Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters have been deemed the main targets, as the club looks to boost its homegrown quota.

Wan-Bissaka has entered the final year of his contract, and the club is reportedly happy to sell him for the right price, teamTALK previously reported that the defender would be available for £17-20m this summer. This would likely be cheaper than a deal for Walker-Peters.

He has also been linked to Turkish champions Galatasaray and to Sean Dyche’s Everton, however, the defender reportedly favours a move back to his home city of London. A report from CaughtOffside suggested that Wan-Bissaka is ‘keen to seal a transfer to West Ham’.

If he were to join the club, Wan-Bissaka would hope to have a similar relationship with the West Ham fans as fellow Croydon-born player Carlton Cole had during his time at the club.
