West Ham’s latest signing Max Kilman says he’s loving life in claret and blue.

From their Summer signings so far, it seems like West Ham are determined to not only sign quality players, but quality players who want to be at the club.

Despite being a sensational player for Wolves over the years, Max Kilman has never really got the plaudits he deserved. However, being at West Ham will hopefully give him his chance to shine, especially if the club keeps competing for Europe year in, year out.

Although he hasn’t been at the club for long, Kilman claims that he is settling into life as a West Ham player really well and he is evidently enjoying himself so far.

“I loved it,” he exclaimed after his first preseason match as a Hammer. “Obviously it’s my first game with West Ham, with the boys doing my best, and I enjoyed it.”

“We’ve been here in Austria for a week and the manager has been working us really hard. We’re getting into it, getting used to the new way we want to play and it’s new to everyone. It’s tough [work], but we’ve really enjoyed it and slowly we’re going to progress.”

One thing that everyone who has been involved with West Ham over the David Moyes period has said is just how brilliant the group of players are as individuals. They clearly all share great relationships and they have made the centre-back “feel really welcome and it shows how tight the group is together.”

“I’m really pleased and I want to keep working and keep going. [The Head Coach] wants to get the best out of all of us. We want to learn, we want to improve, we want to get to the best we can and that’s the most important thing.”

“I’ve enjoyed every bit of it in Austria and I can’t wait to just keep going and keep enjoying it.”

There’s a real possibility that Kilman could be the club’s next captain so it’s vital he forms those connections with his teammates as soon as possible if he wants that to happen.

Hopefully he can carry over his impressive form at Wolves and hit the ground running to sort out the Hammer’s woeful defence, if he can then he will be worth every penny the club paid for him.
