West Ham have been offered the chance to sign a young, versatile forward with an unbelievable amount of pace.
When he first joined Borussia Dortmund, Karim Adeyemi was one of the hottest prospects in the whole of football. He had it all, the skill, the eye for goal and, above anything else, an unholy amount of pace.
Unfortunately, he hasn’t quite managed to live up the hype as of yet. In his first Bundesliga season, he had a respectable, if not underwhelming, 11 goal involvements to his name. Things only got worse during the last campaign though as that number dropped all the way down to 4.
According to HITC, the German side have seen enough and have offered him to a number of Premier League clubs including West Ham, Tottenham, Newcastle and Chelsea. It’s rumoured that they are only seeking £25 million for his services which makes him an extremely enticing option.
At just 22-years-old, there’s still plenty of time for Adeyemi to hit his full potential and, if he did that for West Ham, then the Hammers would have a special player on their hands. Considering they are looking for a left winger, it’s a risk that could be worth taking, and one that only becomes more alluring when you realise he could cover at striker too. All around, it has the potential to be an excellent deal for our Irons.
