West Ham could sign a budget winger who’s been vital to securing his side Champions League football.
While they have some special attacking players at their disposal, they are missing a natural left-winger. Lucas Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus have done an excellent job at filling in, but it’s more the lack of depth they have in the position which is an issue.
Thankfully, this is one of many areas the recruitment team are eager to add to this Summer. Understandably though, it’s not as big of a priority compared to other positions and, therefore. they are eager to get the best value for money rather than the best overall options it seems.
According to SempreMilan, West Ham could look to sign Belgium forward Alexis Saelemakers. The versatile winger is an AC Milan player who spent last season out on loan to Bologna, where he was pivotal to them securing Champions League football.
Although he only managed to involve himself in 6 goals, his passing and ability to hold up the play to get teammates into better positions meant he was excellent in the build up to goals.
It’s believed that Milan only want £12 million for him which is, in today’s market, next to nothing. Admittedly, he wouldn’t be many fan’s first choice, but when they need a right-back, a striker and another centre-back it could represent the best value deal.
