West Ham eye yet another AC Milan defender to partner Max Kilman.

While West Ham fans are understandably excited about the prospects of Tomori playing in their defence next season, there could be some roadblocks in the price AC Milan will demand for him.

Thankfully, he’s not the only centre-back target the Hammers have. In fact, he’s not even the only one they have from Milan, Claret and Hugh reports.

Perhaps not as gripping as the Englishman, Malick Thiaw would still be a great signing. The German played 30 times for the Italian giants last season, becoming a regular starter as the season went on.

The 22-year-old central defender is great at winning the ball but by far his best attribute is his passing. Throughout the last campaign he boasted an immense 92% pass completion rate.

Obviously, he would cost a lot less than the £35 million that Milan are demanding for his teammate Tomori, yet the Hammers would still be getting a proven, young, hungry defender who’s style of play could massively suit Julen Lopetegui’s system. He may not be the one fans would choose out the two, but it could be a very shrewd signing.
