West Ham remain interested in an English striker, but they will face stiff competition for his signature.

With the way this transfer window is going, there’s no guessing who West Ham will sign as a striker. As usual, they’ve been linked with every player under the sun and their talks with top target Jhon Duran have stalled.

Despite reports emerging today that the club are edging closer to a deal to bring Niclas Fullkrug to the London Stadium, there’s still plenty of room for another twist in the tale.

According to GIVEMESPORT, West Ham remain interested in Tammy Abraham, who could be purchased for around £25 million. Over the past season, the forward struggled massively with fitness and it seems like Roma are keen to offload him due to this.

Alongside the Hammers, Everton (who also said to be interested in another West Ham target in Milik), Aston Villa, and Tottenham are all considering whether to make a move for the Englishman.

If he can stay fit, Abraham could be a great signing who would help provide goals and help fulfil the homegrown quota. However, that’s a massive if,

Ultimately, it’s down to whether our Irons believe they can keep him in good health and whether the risk of him getting injured outweighs the positives he could bring to the side.
