West Ham have reportedly been rejected by yet another target for an Italian side.
For some reason, a bizarre pattern has emerged this Summer. West Ham have been rejected multiple times by players who want to move to Italy. Todibo wants Juventus, Fofana wants AC Milan and, now, another name has been added to the list.
Tammy Abraham has been linked with a move to East London for over a year at this point. While his initial form at Roma was great, injuries have held him back over the past season. In fact, he only managed to play 8 Serie A games last season.
Despite this, reports have claimed that the Hammers are still interested in acquiring his services, but Sky Sports Italy claim that he has now interest in joining them.
Both West Ham and Everton have apparently been told “no” by his representatives, as he wishes to move to AC Milan instead.
While it’s probably coincidental that their targets are so keen on moving to Italy, it does show that not having European football is really hurting them. The fact Abraham would rather stay abroad than move back to a team in his home country that, hopefully, will be fighting for Europe next season.
