West Ham are understood to have told Kurt Zouma his time is up in east London, it’s been reported by ExWHUEmployee.
Our Podcast co-host and insider has advised that the French defender could now well be set to exit the club as the rebuild this summer continues.
“It appears that West Ham have told captain Kurt Zouma that he should find a new club,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon.
“There has been talks of Saudi interest and sources are suggesting he has been urged to look for a move either there or elsewhere.
“Zouma’s contract is currently up at the end of the season and he has been struggling more and more with his knees. Manager Julen Lopetegui expressed his concerns with the teams defending and whilst Zouma wasn’t involved in the Crystal Palace game, it is felt his wages could be spent elsewhere on a new defender.
“Zouma is said to be happy at the club and may wish to see out his final year however.
“We have a number of centre-back targets on the list including Oumar Solet and Jean-Clair Todibo. As well as a number of others.
“Solet has been in talks with other clubs recently which may prompt West Ham to make a move as he is seen to be of a reasonable price. The club are also waiting on Tobido to see whether he finalises a move to Juventus which still looks likely.”
Ex has stressed that no offers have yet to be received for the player at this stage, although the club will be hoping approaches will be made.
