The Aaron Wan-Bissaka saga continues as the Englishman makes a huge financial demand in order to leave Old Trafford and move to West Ham United this summer, according to a report from the Daily Mail

The Hammers are very keen to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and he has become available for £18m by his club this summer. West Ham United are willing to get near the Red Devils’ valuation, however, the deal has been held up due to a demand from the defender.

The Crystal Palace academy graduate is reportedly demanding a multi-million pound pay off to leave Manchester United this summer. The defender and his agents know that if he was to let his contract that expires next summer run down, they could demand a huge signing on fee and even potentially move to a bigger club.

His representatives are pushing United to give Wan-Bissaka a sum of the £18m fee to ensure the deal goes ahead successfully.  The defender is said to be very keen on a move to East London, but he does not want to sell himself short.

Should United sell Wan-Bissaka, they would then look to hold further negotiations with German giants Bayern Munich for their Moroccan right back, Noussair Mazraoui. West Ham nearly signed Mazraoui just a couple of weeks ago after agreeing a fee of £12.6m plus £2.3m in add-ons with Bayern for the Dutch-born defender before the deal collapsed due to agents demands.

United are hoping to make a profit by selling AWB and signing Mazraoui which would give them a PSR boost, however, with Wan-Bissaka’s financial demands a significant profit looks very unlikely so United may even choose to keep the defender after all.

However according to Dharmesh Sheth of Sky Sports, a deal ‘is close and it’s moving’ and there is a cautious optimism that the deal will happen. He says that Julen Lopetegui is keen to bring in competition for Vladimir Coufal, and Wan-Bissaka looks likely to be the man to do that.
