A young, versatile defender could be on his way to West Ham as they look to finalise their rebuild.

If all goes well, Aaron Wan-Bissaka could be a West Ham player in the next few days. What’s significant about the potential signing is it solves the final of the club’s obvious problem areas. They’ve brought in a striker, two centre-backs and added some much needed depth across the pitch – a right-back is just the final piece of the puzzle to many.

However, that doesn’t mean the club’s business is done and, depending on departures, there could be another couple of players still to join.

According to Claret and Hugh one potential addition could be Nantes defender Nathan Zeze. The 19-year-old only really broke into the first team in the second-half of last season but he managed to impress.

Obviously, he’s incredibly raw but he has an unbelievable amount of potential. His ability to play both as a central defender and a left-back makes him a particularly useful asset to have.

Although he’s not going to hit the starting XI straight away, he would be a great signing for the future but it really depends on how much the French side want for him. After all, he’s one of their most promising assets and, as a result, they’re going to slap a substantial price tag on him.

Unfortunately, the club are set to face competition from a whole host of clubs, most notably Inter Milan who are extremely keen on acquiring his services. If the recruitment team do really want to sign him they will have to act fast, but they must be confident that he can reach the potential he possesses.
