West Ham are set to face Bournemouth in the 2nd round of the Carabao Cup following the draw last night.

Our Hammers face the Cherries at the London Stadium on the week commencing 26th August, with confirmation of the date of the match to be confirmed soon.

“West Ham are two-time runners-up in the EFL Cup, while Bournemouth’s best performance has been three journeys to the quarter-finals, the last coming in the 2020/21 season,” it states on the clubs Official Website.

“Last term, Andoni Iraola’s side reached the fourth round before losing 2-1 to Liverpool, while the Hammers’ run was ended by the same team a round later at Anfield.

“Now Iraola will be set for his first meeting with his fellow Basque Julen Lopetegui on these shores. The pair last went head-to-head in 2022 when the Hammers’ Head Coach was at Sevilla and his counterpart was in charge of Rayo Vallecano.”
