West Ham have secured the long term future of Lewis Orford with the player penning a new 5-year contract with the club, its been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

As has been reported previously, the club have been in talks with Orford over a new contract following a significant u-turn this summer which saw the player become part of talks over a proposed move for Aston Villa.

However, the club have since decided that Orford is very much part of the plans for the future in east London, and its now been exclusively revealed by ExWHUEmployee that the highly rated midfielder has signed a new long-term deal to remain at West Ham.

“We are delighted to exclusively announce that Lewis Orford has put pen to paper on his 5 year contract,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon. “This is really positive news for the club. Orford is a highly talented midfielder who has captained England Under 18s and was described by Mark Phillips on our Academy show as a top player.

“There was a lot of interest in the 18 year old including from top English clubs, Villa being one, and clubs from abroad.

“Orford comes from a very passionate West Ham family and another passionate West Ham fan, Mark Noble, has been said to be key to the deal too.

“We are delighted that Lewis has signed his new contract and we look forward to him making an impact in the first team in the near future.”
