West Ham are today looking to kickstart the Julen Lopetegui era when we face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Following an opening day loss at the hands of Aston Villa, our Hammers will be eager to bounce back to show we mean business this season as we get set for a London derby showdown south of the river.

Former player and now pundit for the BBC Chris Sutton has provided his view on how things may materialise this afternoon, stating that he believes West Ham will not be coming away empty handed, with a 2-2 draw predicted.

“Crystal Palace played very well against Brentford and ended up losing,” stated Sutton. “It is a totally different Palace under Oliver Glasner, but Joachim Andersen has left for Fulham and will be a big loss for them.

“It is a new dawn for Julen Lopetegui at West Ham and he will want to get his first win under the belt.”

The former striker was joined by Make Me a Mixtape host Jordan Stephens, who believes that Lopetegui’s side will come away with all 3 points.

“I’ve gone for 1-3, because I feel like West Ham are going to go for it,” said Stephen’s.

Let’s hope he’s right!
