West Ham Academy star Freddie Potts is set for a season loan to the Championship, it’s been reported by ExWHUEmployee.
The son of club folk hero Steve Potts – who is now the U23’s Head Coach, Freddie has been hugely impressive with high hopes for his future in east London, and it’s now felt another loan is needed for his development.
The midfielder spent last season at Wycombe Wanderers and was an instrumental figure in the League One sides campaign, however Ex has reported the player wants a step up to Championship level football.
Ex has advised that Portsmouth are understood to have won the race for his signature, with many clubs eager to take the player on this season.
Our insider has also advised that Ollie Scarles is likely to the next in line to depart for the current season, although Scarles is expected to sign a new deal at West Ham before making the move.
Kamarai Swyer is also expected to follow suit with a loan move expected for the highly rated attacking midfielder.
