West Ham Academy star Lewis Orford has undergone a scan on his groin, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

The midfielder, who recently penned a new 5-year deal to remain in east London, suffered the injury recently which has ruled him out of England’s U18 Lafarge tournament, for which Orford is captain of the side.

There have been concerns the injury could be serious however our club insider has reported that the scan results have eased those fears, with the player expected to be out for around 3 weeks.

Orford will be eager to recover as soon as possible as he continues his development and path to the first team at West Ham, with his future now very much settled following a somewhat contract focused summer, after interest in the player from Aston Villa.

The England U18 captain is now thankfully expected to make a full recovery in 3 weeks bar no setbacks, as the club continue to work on his outstanding progression from the Academy of Football.
