West Ham beat Dagenham & Redbridge 5-0 today in a behind closed doors friendly with John Egan featuring, its been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

As has been reported previously by Ex, the club have been monitoring the former Sheffield United player with the view of giving a trial in this game and then make a decision as to whether to offer him a short term deal for this season.

“West Ham played a behind closed door friendly against Dagenham and Redbridge today,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon.

“There was a a mixture of young players and senior players looking for fitness. One of these players who featured is John Egan, who looks likely to join as our forth choice centre back on a free from Sheffield United.

“The game finished 5-0 to West Ham with a Danny Ings hattrick and Andy Irving getting the other two.

“It was a game of 60 minutes (30 minutes a half) and John Egan played one half and did ok apparently. The club will make a decision on his future shortly.”
