West Ham United have been offered the chance to sign Turkish midfielder Yusuf Yazici who is available on a free transfer after leaving Lille this summer, according to a report from Claret and Hugh. 

Yazici is an attacking midfielder, also capable of playing on the right wing and as a central striker. The 27-year-old is a product of the Tranbzonspor academy, he rose through the ranks into the first team. He really shone at his hometown club, which earned him a £15m move to LOSC Lille in the summer of 2019.

At Lille, is where he began to become more known by fans of the top leagues, despite already performing very well in the Turkish Super Lig where he contributed to 49 goals in 120 matches. In his first season with Lille, he struggled to make his mark on the team, however, he really sprung to life in his second campaign. The Turk contributed to 11 goals in 32 matches as Lille surprisingly won the Ligue 1 title.

The Turkish attacker was mainly used as a substitute at Lille he would often come on and make an impact, this is potentially something the Hammers could be looking for as it is something Danny Ings has struggled with since arriving at the club.

However, a deal for Yazici looks very unlikely due to our plethora of attacking talent in the squad this season, Danny Ings has even failed to make the bench in a couple of fixtures this season. It is also believed that he has been offered to Manchester United, which could be more likely due to their current lack of attacking talent.
