Noel Gallagher refused an enticing offer from West Ham for one specific reason.

A lot has changed over the past 15 years in the footballing world; Manchester City have become one of the best teams in Premier League history, Leicester City have won three trophies, West Ham have become European champions, yet Tottenham still haven’t won a trophy in that time!

Despite their 15 year hiatus, Oasis are still just as big now as they were in 2009. Their recently announced reunion means that the Gallagher brothers are back in the headlines, and it’s not just for musical reasons.

Just like in the 90’s, every little thing the duo do is now being reported on and that has oddly led to West Ham being involved.

When you think of Oasis, it’s impossible not to associate them with Manchester City, a club that they’ve had such a massive impact on over the years. Both Noel and Liam Gallagher are massive City fans, with the former in particular being a regular at games.

Due to their heightened media attention, The Independent claims that Karen Brady offered Noel the opportunity to sit in the directors box for the Hammers’ home game against City. However, the superstar refused the offer due to the fact he’d have to adhere to a strict dress code which would mean he would have had to wear a business suit.

Instead, the Morning Glory writer decided to sit in a hospitality area that would allow him to dress as he pleased while still being able to keep away from the crowds.

Although it wasn’t always smooth sailing for his side with West Ham quickly equalising after Haaland’s opener, Noel’s problems would swiftly fade away as the Norwegian’s hat-trick secured all three points for the champions, leaving some to question whether he’s a man or simply a force of nature.

Either way, even the Gallaghers would have to admit that West Ham are on the right track, even if they’re getting there little by little. Julen Lopetegui’s master plan is slowly coming into effect. The performance his side put in could really be the turning point in their season, if he can get the players to play like that every week then West Ham fans will be able to let any concerns about the future of the club slide away.
