Oumar Solet has seen his contract terminated with Salzburg, with ExWHUEmployee advising on the links to West Ham.

The club had been said to be very keen on the player this summer, prior to the capture of Jean-Clair Todibo – but despite Solers availability, West Ham are unlikely to move for the player.

“There was interesting news this morning that Oumar Solet has had his Salzburg contract terminated so that he can join another club,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon.

“We were heavily interested in his signing in the summer and he was a back up option if Todibo didn’t sign.

“As soon as we saw the news we put the question to our top transfer source as to whether we would make a move for him as a back up option.

“The source immediately came back with “We are totally spent out of our wages cap to confirm with FFP rules. Alvarez plays CB for Mexico IF we get 2 CBs injured”.

“This pretty much confirms that West Ham are unlikely to move for any player this window although we will of course keep you updated if anything changes.”
