West Ham are set to battle Manchester City for the signature of unbelievable talent who is yet to play a professional game of football.

Manchester City have developed a habit of snatching youth players from West Ham United in recent years, with Divin Mubama being the most prominent.

However, the two sides are set to fight for the signature of Rotherham United starlet Harrison Duncan, Alan Nixon reports.

The U18s defender is yet to make his professional debut, but their manager claimed Championship clubs came knocking after just his second youth appearance.

Standing at a massive 6’3, the youngster has been dubbed the next John Stones due to his immense defensive abilities.

Obviously, it’s near impossible to truly tell whether a player will fulfil their potential or not, but the ability this young man possesses could make him one of the best defenders around. It’s only a matter of time before his makes his League One debut and that will be a good indicator of where he is really at.

Although City are strong enough competition, if he starts performing how many expect him to in League One, there could be plenty more clubs that are desperate to sign him.
