West Ham have left a sought after youth player out of their Premier League squad despite rejecting offers for him.

The current group of youth players that West Ham have at their disposal is one of the most exciting they’ve ever had. So many of the players could go on to play at the very top with the right opportunities.

Unfortunately, not every single player is able to reach their potential and that’s certainly the case for Luizao.

The now 22-year-old defender was expected to be in the first-team by now after joining last January from São Paulo. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been able to impress David Moyes or Julen Lopetegui, with the Spaniard not even including him in his Premier League squad despite having three spaces free.

Since joining the club, the Brazilian has played 40 times at youth level, but hasn’t been anywhere near making his professional debut for the club.

Over the Summer, reports claimed that multiple clubs had registered bids for him, primarily loans, but all of them have been rejected by the Irons.

Unfortunately, for now, his career has reached a standstill. He’s clearly not going to be used by Lopetegui, yet he won’t be able to move until at least January now, meaning the defender is forced to stay in the youth set up for the time being.
