A pundit has claimed that an out of work English manager is waiting for the West Ham job.

Following the announcement that David Moyes would not be offered a new contract at West Ham, fans were scrambling to work out who the next manager could be.

While there were some extremely popular choices, the club decided to take a risk on Julen Lopetegui, someone who wasn’t particularly a fan favourite.  As of right now, that decision hasn’t paid off, leaving some to speculate what could have happened if they had appointed someone else.

However, there’s already been some talk that this job is at risk after the Hammers’ woeful start to the season and, whether it’s true or not, some pundits have given their two cents on who they think could replace the Spaniard. This includes Darren Bent, who believes that Graham Potter may be waiting for the job.  “They got David Moyes. Not happy. Get him out. Lopetegui. Not happy with him. Get him out,” he told talkSPORT.

“Potter would be a good fit because he is a good coach. He must be waiting for something.”

Now it’s been reported previously that the West Ham board believe the only reason Potter was successful at Brighton was due to their recruitment, but if they are forced to sack the gaffer then they may have to consider options they once wouldn’t have.
