West Ham left frustrated as they’ve been dealt a massive injury blow.

Whenever the Hammers spend big, you can almost guarantee that one of their top signings will get an injury.

Although he’s not particularly impressed so far, there’s no denying that losing Niclas Fullkrug through a damaged achilles that he suffered while away on international duty is a massive blow to Julen Lopetegui. The Spaniard has confirmed previously how important the German is to his plans and having him out for any amount of time isn’t ideal.

While not as bad as it could have been, Fullkrug’s return to injury is taking longer than expected. It was initially thought that he’d miss only a couple of games, but that has clearly not been the case.

Unfortunately, the latest update on his absence isn’t good, as it looks like he will not be available until after the next break. “Sadly he is not back until after the next international break now,” one of Hammers News’ sources told them.

Thankfully, there is only one more game to play until then, but this still means he would have missed 5 vital games. Hopefully, when he returns from injury, he can find his form in claret and blue. His goal scoring record is absolutely sensational in Germany, we just need to pray he can emulate that in the Premier League.
